In this technology section, we will explore how Timpi is using decentralized architecture, AI and blockchain technology to create the first truly independent Search Engine with its own Index.
Indexes and Search engines are complicated, and building a decentralized solution provides some unique challenges on its own that do not apply to centralized search engines. For example:
• How do you get quick response times across a distributed network of nodes with differences in performance and reliability?
• How do you prevent malicious actors from running Guardian nodes from returning dangerous or unwanted content?
• How do you properly incentivize people to run nodes within the network?
Timpi has already solved most of these issues by implementing a core controller structure that mitigates most of these challenges. Some others will require continued development and innovation to ensure an optimal ongoing search experience. Timpi’s Decentralized Architecture includes four core components: Collector, Guardian, Geo-Core, and TAP which are further explained.
